Idaho Loses to Legends

FRISCO, Texas, February 15, 2012 - Marcus Banks had 20 points and the Stampede (12-18) made 12-of-13 free throws, but the Texas Legends beat Idaho 93-84. Terrico White (15 points) and Mikki Moore (12 points) joined Banks in double-figure scoring.

Idaho made three more field goals than Texas, but had 16 fewer made free throws as the Legends went 28-of-31 from the free throw line, including 10-of-12 in the final quarter. The Stampede trailed by just two points after three quarters, and then made 8-of-10 two-point field goals in the final quarter, but went just 2-of-9 from behind the three point line. Idaho out-scored Texas 48-28 in points in the paint.

Texas (15-18) was led by Booker Woodfox, who scored 21 points off the bench. Antonio Daniels added 14 points and 11 assists, while Dominique Johnson had 15 points and five rebounds. Sean Williams had 12 points, nine rebounds, seven turnovers and five blocked shots.

Idaho comes home to play the Reno Bighorns on Friday and Saturday at CenturyLink Arena at 7 p.m. (MST).
