IceRays Sign Olsson; Release Gauthier

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - Corpus Christi IceRays General Manager today that the team has acquired goaltender Anton Olsson from the Texas Jr. Brahmas (WSHL) and released forward Ryan Gauthier.

Olsson, 20, is a native of Stromstad, Sweden. For the Jr. Brahmas this season, Olsson played in 22 games compiling a 8-6-3 record with a 3.08 goals-against average and a .934 save percentage. He is expected in uniform this weekend.

In a separate move, the IceRays released Gauthier. In five games played, Gauthier had one goal and one assist for two points.

The IceRays continue their homestand on Friday December 10th against the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7:05 PM. It is Teddy Bear Toss night presented by CPL Energy where stuffed animals will be thrown onto the ice following the first IceRays goal.
