
IceRays Fall to Wildcats in Overtime 2-1

WICHITA FALLS, TX - The Corpus Christi IceRays came away with one point on Saturday night, however fell to the Wichita Falls Wildcats in overtime 2-1 inside the Kay Yeager Coliseum.
After no scoring through twenty minutes of play, the IceRays kicked off the scoring 10:41 into the second period of play as Beau Walker blasted a shot from the point through the screen beating goaltender Matt Leon with an assist from AJ Jarosz for a 1-0 lead.
In the third period Wichita Falls tied the game while short-handed off the stick of Chris Pontello 5:08 into the third tying the game 1-1.
Both teams picked up a point as overtime was next, and in the extra period Tucker Poolman won the game 2:39 into overtime for a 2-1 win.
The IceRays return to home ice this Thursday and Friday night as they take on the Wichita Falls Wildcats. Puck drops at 7:05PM, coverage begins at 6:50PM with the IceRays Pregame Show on ESPN Radio 1440AM.
