INDIANAPOLIS - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs announced Saturday that they have assigned forward Evan Mosey to the ECHL's Indy Fuel. Mosey is expected to be in the Fuel lineup Saturday night for their Central Division contest against the Quad City Mallards at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Mosey, 27, has appeared in three games with the IceHogs this season, logging seven penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of Downers Grove, Ill. is playing in his first professional season in North America, after spending the last three years in England and The Netherlands. Mosey is coming off of a successful stint with the EIHL's Nottingham Panthers, where he logged 69 points (26g, 43a) in 112 games as a defenseman from 2014-2016. The dual citizen of the U.S. and United Kingdom led all EIHL defensemen with 17 goals in 2015-16, capping off the season by scoring the Challenge Cup-winning goal in overtime for the Panthers.

A three-time WCHA All-Academic Team member during his career at Minnesota State University, Mosey recorded 30 points (9g, 21a) in 108 NCAA games on the Mavericks' blue line from 2009-2013. Mosey also won a Silver Medal with Great Britain at the 2016 IIHF World Championships (Division 1B).
