Rockford IceHogs News Release
The Rockford IceHogs announced today details for their Home Opener on Saturday at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The IceHogs open up the home portion of their 18th season of professional hockey and 10th year as the top affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks at 7 p.m. against the Milwaukee Admirals.
Tickets: Tickets can be purchased at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster location, by phone (815) 968-5222 or online at www.icehogs.com.
Time: Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. with the BMO Harris Bank Center doors opening at 6 p.m.
Calendar Giveaway: The first 5,000 fans to enter the arena will receive an IceHogs calendar compliments of BMO Harris Bank.
New Security Measures: The IceHogs will implement a strict clear bag policy at the BMO Harris Bank Center, effective on Friday, Oct. 28.
Fans should continue to plan on arriving early to games to ensure they are in their seats in time for puck drop. Regular security procedures, including wanding at entrances, will remain the same as last season.
Fans are allowed to bring the following into the arena:
- Bags that are clear, plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12."
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" are allowed into the arena with one of the clear plastic bags
- Diaper bags will be permitted for families with infants and toddlers
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the entrances
To help transition into this new policy, the first 1,500 fans to enter the game on Sunday will receive a clear tote bag courtesy of Dr. Sexson Orthodontics. The clear tote bags will also be available for purchase at Oink Outfitters.

Parking Advisory: The parking garage on Church Street across from the BMO Harris Bank Center is open, but is currently under construction on the southern half (closest to Chestnut Street) of the second and third floors and those sections will be closed this weekend. The northern half of the second and third floors, including access to the elevators and catwalk to BMO, are open for this weekend's IceHogs home opener. The first and fourth floors will also be open. The garage is slated to be completed in mid-November.
Banner Ceremony and Season Ticket Holder Picture Opportunity: A banner celebrating the affiliation between the IceHogs and Blackhawks will be raised prior to the start of the game on Saturday. Season ticket holders are invited for a picture opportunity with the banner following the contest.
Matchup: The Rockford IceHogs take on the Milwaukee Admirals in the Home Opener on Saturday. The IceHogs and Admirals met 12 times last season, with each team winning six contests.
