
IceDogs Win Season Opener

Tonight the Niagara IceDogs played their first game of the regular season versus the Barrie Colts.
The IceDogs got off to a quick start. Rookie Aidan Castle scored the first of the night and the first of his OHL career. The Dogs were able to hold off the Colts for the remainder of the period.
After 20 minutes of play, the score was 1-0 in favour of your IceDogs.
We saw some great end-to-end action in the second period. 9 minutes into the period, IceDogs' Danil Gushchin gets a beautiful shot from up top. Another rookie goal comes from Juan Copeland with a nice deke move to get the puck in the back of the net. Tucker Tynan was absolutely standing on his head, with amazing saves throughout the entire second.
After 40 minutes, the score sat at 3-0 IceDogs.
Pano Fimis gets a goal 3 minutes into the third. The Colts were able to get one on the board, but it wasn't enough to take down the Dogs.
The IceDogs take the win in their first game of the season!
