Erie Otters News Release
Luca Caputi and Michael Swift each scored a goal and an assist to lead the Niagara IceDogs to a 6-4 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 3,011 at the Tullio Arena.
Stefan Legein, Alex Friesen, Andrew Merrett and Chris DeSousa also scored for the IceDogs, who won for the third straight time to improve to 15-12-0-1 on the season.
Zack Torquato, Justin Hodgman, Sean Jones and Ryan O'Reilly each collected a goal and an assist for the Otters, who are now winless in their last four (0-3-1-0) and 4-20-2-1 on the season.
The two teams were tied at two after one. Niagara carried a 5-4 advantage into the third.
The IceDogs out shot the Otters 34-32 in the game as Shane Owen took the loss.
The three stars of the game were 1. Caputi; 2. Hodgman and 3. Jones.
The Otters complete weekend action tomorrow (Saturday) when they face the Guelph Storm in a 7:30 p.m. game at the Tullio Arena. The first 2,500 fans into the game (18 and over) receive a scratch off card coupon courtesy of the PA Lottery.
