Niagara IceDogs News Release
Niagara IceDogs General Manager Joey Burke announced today that Brandon Currie has been named the team's new Assistant General Manager.
A product of Brock University's Sport Management program, Brandon has spent the previous two years with the IceDogs in various roles throughout the organization, including spending last season as the team's Director of Analytics/Midget Scout.
During his time in this role, he was responsible for overseeing the OHL U-18 Priority Selection while also assisting the GM and scouting staff in the OHL Priority Selection.
As well, he worked closely with Joey and the coaching staff on all statistical analysis and player personnel decisions, while also assisting in aspects of player development.
"Brandon has been a great addition to our team since coming on a few years ago. His tireless work ethic, and knowledge have been a great asset to myself and our staff. He is very deserving of this promotion. He is a guy who will take on any task assigned to him, and constantly strives to better himself and the organization. We are lucky to be adding him in a larger capacity. It is a true testament to what a big help he has been since arriving from Brock two years ago, and he has a bright future in this game." said Burke.
The entire IceDogs organization would like to congratulate Brandon on his new role.
