It's game day! David Goyette and the Sudbury Wolves are visiting the Meridian Centre today for a Central Division matchup and the IceDogs first matinee game at home this year. The IceDogs will be celebrating Black History by sporting jerseys designed by former Captain, Akil Thomas and his brand, Zale Apparel. The game will feature a ceremonial puck drop with Natasha Bell from Black Owned 905 and an informational booth to showcase and support black entrepreneurs in Niagara.

All game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off following the game in sec 105 by Lukes Auctions and Rod Mawhood. Jersey profits will be going to the 'What They See is What They Will BE' mentorship program with Toes Niagara and DSBN.

Coming off of an 8-3 win against the Erie Otters, the Wolves are neck and neck with the Generals to secure the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The IceDogs have a chance to play spoiler today as Sudbury is sitting just 1 point shy the Kingston Frontenacs of the seventh place spot.

Coming off of an impressive 2 point showing against his former team, your IceDog to watch tonight is the teams leading scorer, Zak Lavoie. With 5 points in his last 4 games and 39 on the season, the IceDogs first line forward is eyeing to surpass last years 44 point showing.
