The Niagara IceDogs fell to the London Knights by a 4-1 score at the Gatorade Garden City Complex on Wednesday night.
The first period saw the IceDogs carry the play for much of the period, but the Knights capitalized on one of their few chances, scoring first for the first time in the series to take a 1-0 lead. That would prove to be the only goal of the period as they IceDogs trailed 1-0 after one. Shots in the period were 11-4 in favour of the IceDogs.
The second period saw London extend the lead as they struck on the powerplay to make it 2-0. London would score once more in the period, while the IceDogs would continue to be stymied by Houser as the teams headed into the second intermission with London leading 3-0.
The third period would see the IceDogs get back into the game as Myles Doan would jam one home in front to make it 3-1. London would not allow the IceDogs to get any closer however, scoring less than a minute later to make it 4-1. That would prove to be the final goal of the game, sending London home with the victory and a 3-1 series lead.
The teams will next return to action on Friday night in London where the IceDogs will look to get back into the series in game five.
