Niagara dropped a 4-2 game to Ottawa this afternoon. The Icedogs will carry a 2-1 series lead into Game 4 on Wednesday.

Ottawa jumped to the early lead in the first period and held on for the full 20 minutes. The 67's took a 2-0 lead into the intermission despite Niagara bombarding them with heavy pressure in the final half of the period. The IceDogs outshot Ottawa 15-5.

Pavel Jenys scored the opening goal for the IceDogs, his third of the postseason, but Ottawa quickly answered with one of their own. The 67's added to their first period lead by scoring an additional two goals in the second frame, taking a 4-1 lead into the final 20 minutes of regulation.

Niagara defensman Vince Dunn shrunk the 67's lead to two goals thanks to an early power-play goal in the third period but Ottawa held off the relentless pressure by the Dogs' in the final minutes of the period to hang on and earn the victory.
