IceDogs 8-Game Win Streak Snapped in Ottawa

The IceDogs closed out their 3 in 3 weekend against the 67's Saturday night to close out their season series. Coming into this game, the IceDogs were riding their longest win streak in franchise history, 8 games in a row.

The 67's got on the board first, capitalizing on a power play to carry a 1-0 lead into the second period.

38 seconds into the second period, Jack Studnicka got the 'Dogs on the board to tie the game up at 1 on the power play! Studs' 21st of the year was assisted by Jason Robertson and Matt Brassard. The 67's scored 3 consecutive unanswered goals to head into the second intermission with a 4-1 lead.

The 'Dogs continued pressing in the third period, but just couldn't beat Michael DiPietro. Ottawa added another goal in the third period to solidify the 5-1 win.

The 'Dogs come back to town on Thursday February 7th against the Mississauga Steelheads.
