Friday, Oct. 14 HFD 6 vs STJ 3 RECAP Charles Hudon and Chris Terry both notched goals while newly-appointed captain Max Friberg also found the back of the net; however it was three goals by the Wolf Pack in the third period that sealed the IceCaps fate as St. John's dropped their 2016-17 season opener 6-3. Saturday, Oct. 15 ALB 5 vs STJ 2 RECAP Chris Terry scored twice but the St. John's IceCaps dropped a 5-2 decision to the Albany Devils Saturday night at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. Bryan Pitton surrendered four goals on nineteen shots in a losing effort. Sunday, Oct. 16 PRO 2 vs STJ 1 RECAP Ryan Johnston notched the first pro goal of his career and the IceCaps penalty kill remained perfect; but it was not enough as the Bruins shaved the IceCaps 2-1. Zach Fucale turned aside 31 of 33 shots in a losing effort.

3 THINGS TO KNOW

First Goal: On Sunday afternoon, Ryan Johnston netted the first goal of his professional career. Johnston suited up in 37 contests for the IceCaps last season putting up 12 assists.

Quick Start: Chris Terry is off to a quick start in an IceCaps uniform as he scored a goal Friday night, and added two more markers on Saturday evening.
