St. John's IceCaps News Release
ST. JOHN'S, NL - The St. John's IceCaps ended their home stand on a sour note with a 4-0 loss to the Toronto Marlies on Saturday afternoon at Mile One Centre.
The game was back-and-forth in the first period until the Marlies' Dmytro Timoshov broke the scoreless tie with 1:16 left in the first frame. Toronto would go on to score again in the second to maintain the lead.
The third period began with a quick tally from Andreas Johnsson to stretch the Marlies lead to three, and they would add another - Timoshov's second of the night for the shutout victory.
IceCaps netminder Yann Danis was busy in net, and albeit the loss made 44 saves for the home team.
