ST. JOHN'S, NL - The St. John's IceCaps clipped the Utica Comets 4-3 in overtime Tuesday night at Mile One Centre.

Nikita Scherbak started off the scoring early with his first of the night - extending his goal streak to three games, and point streak to four games (4G, 1A). Scherbak would strike again in the third for his second of the game in a second-star performance.

Daniel Carr also potted a tally for the IceCaps in the third, from Charles Hudon and Mark Barberio.

The Comets kept coming from behind to narrow the lead with goals from Carter Bancks and Philip DeSimone, but it was Darren Archibald with the game-tying goal that would send the game to overtime.

Sven Andrighetto rang a shot off the goal post early in the fourth frame, but Barberio came back with the game-winning goal 3:01 into overtime. Charlie Lindgren was strong in net, stopping 30-of-33 shots, as he remains undefeated between the pipes for the IceCaps.
