New Mexico Ice Wolves News Release

The New Mexico Ice Wolves are excited to announce that the team has signed forward Brenden Coon to a tender agreement for the 2021-2022 season.

Coon has spent the past two seasons with the Elite Hockey Academy team in Connecticut (16UAAA and 18UAAA). The 5'11", 170lb forward is currently third on his team in scoring with 35 points (18 goals and 17 assists) in 54 games.

The Texas native is looking forward to being a part of the NM Ice Wolves organization. "I'm incredibly grateful and humbled to get the opportunity to play for such a great organization in New Mexico. I'm very excited to begin contributing to the team, learning from coaches and teammates and enjoying the Albuquerque area."

NM Ice Wolves head coach Phil Fox believes Coon is a nice fit for the team. "We're thrilled to sign Coon to a tender as he's a smart two-way forward who competes hard, has solid hockey instincts and has the ability to produce offensively," said Fox.

Coon joins recently tendered players Jake Keller, Sullivan Scholle, JD Metz and Brayden Ring in the strong recruiting class for the 2021-22 season.
