19 year old forward Mikey Milne scored his first of three goals just 24 seconds into the first period to spark the Winnipeg ICE to an 8-1 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors Tuesday night at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
Owen Pederson scored twice for the ICE while Conor Geekie, Zach Benson and Jack Finley rounded out the attack which puts Winnipeg (48-9-3-2) atop of the WHL standings with 101 points in 62 games.
The ICE, now 48-9-3-2, lead Edmonton by six points in the Eastern Conference.
Calder Anderson had the lone goal for Moose Jaw (35-22-3-2).
Winnipeg out shot the Warriors 43-23. Winning netminder Daniel Hauser extends his personal winning streak to 13 games. Carl Tetachuk was pulled 5:57 into the game after allowing three goals on six shots. Jackson Unger made 32 saves over the remaining 54:03.
