ICE Take on Oil Kings in Eastern Conference Action.

The ICE and Oil Kings will meet for the third time this season. The Oil Kings have got the better of the ICE in the first two meetings of the year. The first one came at the ICE Cave early in the season where the Oil Kings won handedly. The next matchup was in Edmonton a couple weeks ago and the ICE fell short by a score of 4-1.

The ICE come into this one winners of five of their last six outings. Most recently a 4-2 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers on the road a couple days ago. The win a couple nights ago has kept their record to 6-4-0-0 over the last ten games. The Oil Kings continue to play consistent hockey which their record over the last 10 games shows as it sits at 8-2-0-0.

The ICE continue to duke it out with the Prince Albert Raiders for first spot in the East Division which the Prince Albert currently holds by two points. The ICE have one game in hand on the Raiders and sit only two points back.

LAST GAME - 4-2 WIN IN MEDICINE HAT: Mikey Milne opens the scoring for the second consecutive game as he took a pass from Isaac Johnson and drove far side tucking it in passed the Tigers' net minder 3:55 into the opening frame. Ryan Chyzowski answered back for the Tigers just as the ICE killed off a minor penalty to even this one up at one a piece. Chyzowski scored his second of the period with 33 seconds left in the first and the Tigers would take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

The teams would skate to an even second period where the ICE had one power play chance and couldn't capitalize on it.

The top line would strike early in the third for the ICE as Owen Pederson scored just 35 seconds into the final frame on a great passing play from Peyton Krebs and Michal Teply. Under a minute late, Jackson Leppard would score his 20th of the season to give the ICE a 3-2 lead under two minutes into the third period. Isaac Johnson would ice the game as he scored on the empty net with just over a minute to go. Liam Hughes made 34 stops in the win.
