ICE Slips Past Everett

Zach Benson's eighth goal of the season proved to be the game winner as the Winnipeg ICE outscored the Everett Silvertips 5-4 at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.

Connor McClennon's second of the night and Owen Pederson helped Winnipeg erase a 3-2 deficit going into the third period.

Ben Zloty also scored as the ICE improved their record to 14-1.

Ryan Hofer, Austin Roest, Caden Ziplitny and Olen Zellweger replied for Everett (8-5).

The Silvertips outshot the ICE 41-34. Goaltender Daniel Hauser extended his personal winning streak to 11 games with victory while Braden Holt suffered the loss.

Next action for the ICE is Saturday night at 8:00 at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena versus the Tri City Americans.
