December 3, 2007 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Indiana Ice News Release

ROAD REVIVAL: After dropping their last road game over a week ago in Chicago, the Ice battled long hours of travel and ice storms to defeat Green Bay and Waterloo this past weekend. Jake Skjodt, T.J. Syner and Greg Squires scored goals in Friday's 3-2 win over the Gamblers, while goaltender Matt Hoyle won his second straight over Green Bay in a 28-save effort. Indy went the distance on Saturday defeating the Black Hawks 4-3 in a shootout on Syner's score in the fifth round of the extra session. Scott Darling turned back 26 shots in regulation and overtime and three of five in the shootout for his ninth win of the year. Skjodt, Ben Blood and Paul Carey lit the lamp in regulation, while John Kemp handed out two assists.

JOHNNY "RECORD" QUEST: John Kemp continued his rampage on the Ice record books with assists in both wins this past weekend. Kemp enters this week's play with franchise-best streaks for assists (12) and points (12) and has 23 points (3G, 20A) during the historic stretch. With two helpers in Saturday's win at Waterloo, he broke Todd McIlrath's all-time best point streak of 11 games set in 2004-05.

GOALIE BELOVED: Like his forward counterpart, goaltender Scott Darling extended his win streak to seven games in Saturday's win over Waterloo. Darling's franchise-best march betters the five-game win streaks set previously by Pat Watson (2004-05) and Steve Jakiel (2005-06). In the seven starts, the 6-5 netminder has posted a 2.40 GAA and a .924 save percentage.

HOME BREW: With two home games this week, the Ice look to remain perfect at Pepsi Coliseum. The team is 9-0-0 this year and has won 13 straight at "Pepsi" dating back to last season. Indy is the only team in the USHL yet to lose at home and has outscored their opponents 48-25 in the nine home contests.
