Ice Pilots Sign Semir Ben-Amor

Pensacola, FL - The 2004-2005 Brabham Cup Champion Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that right wing Semir Ben-Amor (pronounced Sah-meer Ben-Ah-more nickname Sammy) has signed a contract with the team for the 2005-2006 season.
Ben-Amor, who stands 6'2" and weighs 210 pounds, played in 44 games with Danbury of the UHL last season scoring 6 goals, 8 assists for 14 points and picked up 123 penalty minutes and played in 12 games with Richmond of the UHL scoring 3 goals, 6 assists for 9 points picking up 21 penalty minutes.
Ben-Amor played two seasons with Louisiana in the ECHL during the 2002-2004 seasons. He played in 39 games for Louisiana in 2003-04 scoring 16 goals, 11 assists for 27 points picking up 65 penalty minutes and played in 61 games during the 2002-03 season scoring 3 goals, 13 assists for 16 points picking up 113 penalty minutes.
Ben -Amor has also played in Finland for Blues and Asst Pori. He is 24 years old from Espoo, Finland and shoots left.
"We are looking for Sammy to be a big addition to our hockey team this season. He brings a unique style to the game as our organization continues to look at quality players both on and off the ice," said Ice Pilots President Mario Forgione.
"We are really excited to have Sammy on our hockey team this season. Fans will enjoy watching him play a robust style and in your face type of game," said Ice Pilots Head Coach Rick Adduono. "We look for him to be an integral part of our hockey team at both ends of the ice."
The Ice Pilots will play two home preseason games vs. Gwinnett on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 at 7:05 p.m. Prices of tickets are $11 for lower level seats and $6 for upper level seats.
Season
tickets for the Ice Pilots 2005-2006 season are on sale. Prices for all 36 home
games for floor and glass seats
are $678.96, side seats are $489.60, goal seats and lower upper seats
are $443.52 and upper seats cost $356.40. Partial season ticket plans are also
available for as low as $85.84. Fans can call the Ice Pilots office at 432-7825 for
season ticket and corporate sponsorship information.
