Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots are committed to serving the community. With the 2006-2007 hockey season just around the corner, the Pensacola Ice Pilots will be even more involved with several events to benefit local organizations. Players, management staff, office staff, and even the team mascot Ice Man can be seen at upcoming events in the community:

BETTY J. PULLUM FAMILY YMCA GRAND OPENING:

Sat., August 19, 12 - 2 PM - The Pensacola Ice Pilots will participate in the grand re-opening of the Navarre YMCA location. Mascot Ice Man, players, and staff will be present for pictures and autographs. The public is invited to attend the event which takes place from 10am-4pm. UNIVERSITY OF WEST FLORIDA PART-TIME JOB FAIR:

Thurs., Aug. 31, 1:00 - 5:00pm - UWF is hosting a part-time job fair during Welcome Week on UWF campus (at the Commons Auditorium). The Pensacola Ice Pilots staff will have an information booth at the event to recruit interns and volunteers for game day operations, special events, graphics, and Media Relations. Interested students should bring their resume to the event. UNITED WAY DAY OF CARING:

Fri., Sept. 15, 7:30am - The Pensacola Ice Pilots will be participating in the annual Day of Caring event. Mascot Ice Man, players, and staff will be present at the breakfast kick-off at Sam's Fun City (on Pensacola Blvd.) in the morning and then volunteer for half a day with a community agency. PENSACOLA SYMPHONY BALL "ROMANCE & RHYTHM":

Sat., Sept. 16, 6:00 - 10:00pm - The Pensacola Ice Pilots are a proud sponsor of the Symphony Ball, a black tie gala that takes place at New World Landing. There will be a live and silent auction, dinner, and dancing with a swing band. Cost is $150 per person. The Pensacola Ice Pilots staff and players will be present at the event. COVENANT HOSPICE'S "A WALK TO REMEMBER":

Sat., Sept. 30, 8:30am - The Pensacola Ice Pilots are a Celebrate Life sponsor of Covenant Hospice's "A Walk to Remember" at the University of West Florida's campus (11000 University Pkwy.). The Ice Pilots mascot Ice Man, players, and staff will be present at the Children's Station along the walk where they will assist children with making butterfly magnets. Registration fee is $25 for adults, $10 for Full-time students, $10 for Military, and children 12 and under are free. Registration for the 3K walk begins at 7:30am at the Commons. PENSACOLA ICE PILOTS KIDS CLUB:

Kids ages 3 and up are invited to join the coolest club in Pensacola, the Pensacola Ice Pilots Kids' Club! Kids Club members will receive a membership card, t-shirt, invitation to exclusive meet and greet parties with the Ice Pilots team, free admission to all Sunday home games, a birthday card from the team and more! CRAM THE VAN SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE:

The Pensacola Ice Pilots collected over 450 school supplies at the last Season Ticket Holder Beach Bash in June to donate to the "Cram the Van" drive that gives school supplies to students in Escambia & Santa Rosa counties. Player Dallas Steward, Director of Community Relations Raela Villanueva, and Intern Nikki Bitters helped with the supplies when representatives from "Cram the Van" picked up the supplies at the newly renovated Ice Pilots office last week. The Ice Pilots would like to thank all our Season Ticket Holders for making this drive a BIG success! "Cram the Van" is sponsored by United Way of Escambia County, WEAR TV 3 and Sandy Sansing Chevrolet.
