
Ice Overcomes Riders to Force Game Five

Indianapolis, Indiana- The Indiana Ice forced a fifth and deciding game in their best-of-five opening round Clark Cup Playoff series with the RoughRiders by defeating the Riders 5-1 in game four Friday night in Indianapolis.
Brett Bennett stopped 34 Cedar Rapids shots and the Ice scored three unanswered power play goals on the way to evening the series at two wins apiece.
The Riders seemingly found a spark when Kyle Flanagan scored shorthanded from the left wing circle at 11:51 of the second period to cut what had been a 2-0 Indiana lead to just a single goal, but just nine seconds later Ben Albertson scored the Ice's first power play goal and reestablished the two-goal gap with a drive from the high slot.
At 10:08 of the third period the Ice was again up a man when Zach Golembieski stretched the lead to 4-1 with a close range backhander.
Stanislav Galiev capped off the win by wristing in another power play goal from the side of the net with just over two minutes remaining.
The Ice got the early jump on the Riders by scoring a pair of first period goals at even strength. Shane Berschbach opened the scoring from the left wing circle at 7:59 of the first. Mike Cichy's wrister from the slot doubled the Ice's advantage at the 15:51 mark.
