PENSACOLA, Fla. (Oct. 6, 2015) - Pensacola Ice Flyers Head Coach Rod Aldoff announced today that the team has invited two participants, forwards Joel Ahlin and Gehrett Sargis, from the team's recent Free Agent Camp to the 2015 Training Camp.

"Gehrett and Joel did a great job and showed they have the ability to compete at the SPHL level," commented Aldoff. "We had a great camp from all players overall and I look forward to giving Joel and Gehrett the opportunity to compete at main camp."

Ahlin hails from Stockholm, Sweden, and spent last season playing for Värmdö HC of the Swedish third-tier Division I and Värmdö HC J20 in J20 Elit, the second-tier Swedish junior league. In 14 games for the junior team, Ahlin scored 14 goals, added five assists, had 22 penalty minutes (PIM), and a +2 plus/minus rating. After joining the men's team, he appeared in 30 games scoring 16 goals and adding 15 assists, 10 PIM, and a +7 rating.

Sargis is a native of Midlothian, Ill., and spent last season with the Federal Hockey League's Danville Dashers. He led the Dashers in scoring with 33 goals and 28 assists in 55 games. He also had 77 PIM and a +17 rating.
