
Ice Flyers Host Two Events this Weekend to Benefit Wounded Warrior Project

PENSACOLA, FL. (March 8, 2014) - The Pensacola Ice Flyers are hosting two separate events this weekend with the 2nd Annual Kevin Murphy Memorial Motorcycle Poker Run and the 1st Annual Special Ops Wounded Warrior Golf Tournament. Proceeds from both events will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
The Poker Run will take place this Saturday, Mar. 15 prior to the Ice Flyers' final regular season home game. The cost to enter the run is $15 and includes a ticket to the game. The run will start at 11 a.m. at Harley Davidson on Pensacola Boulevard with registration starting at 10 a.m. The run will conclude at Nick's Boathouse in Pensacola. The Golf Tournament will be this Sunday, Mar. 16 at Marcus Pointe Golf Course with registration at 9 a.m. and a shot gun start at 10 a.m. The cost is $50 per golfer and there will be four-golfer teams with an Ice Flyers play assigned to each team on a first come, first served basis. This year's tournament is a Nine Hole Scramble. Following the tournament, a pulled pork and chicken barbecue buffet along with an award presentation.
