Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release

Pensacola, FL- The Pensacola Ice Flyers fell short in their very first Guinness World Record attempt. The Ice Flyers were attempting to break the World Record for the World's Largest Bikini Parade. The idea stemmed from a meeting on promotions over the summer and hoping to raise awareness for the beach, beach businesses and Emerald Coastkeeper.

"Though the attempt failed to actually break the World Record, the event was not just about getting into the Guinness World Record Books," Aaron Epstein, Director of Marketing and Game Presentation said, "it was about creating some excitement in the stands and raising awareness for a great organization and all the beach businesses. The event, which was sponsored by Emerald Coastkeeper and Surf Burger was, in our minds, 100% a success."

To build on the excitement in the stands, the Ice Flyers are teaming up with the Toys for Tots program this weekend. "It is simple, bring a new toy, get $2 off any ticket at any level, and get entered to win a replica Black and Gold Friday night jersey," said Chuck McCartney, the President of the Ice Flyers. The promotion will hopefully generate hundreds of new toys for deserving families along the Gulf Coast and gives the Ice Flyers one of their many opportunities to give back to this wonderful community.
