
Ice Flyers Defeat FireAntz 3-1, Take 3-Game Series

PENSACOLA, FL - The Pensacola Ice Flyers take the three-game series against the Fayetteville FireAntz with their 3-1 victory on Saturday night in front of the 5,566 in attendance at the Pensacola Bay Center.
6:09 into the opening period, Nick McParland connected with Nick Lazorko who slipped in behind the FireAntz defense and got Pensacola on the board for the only goal of the first.
Just past the midway point of the second, Fayetteville's Austin Daae capitalized on the power play to even the game up. Pensacola would net their own power play goal shortly after from Nick Larson to retake the lead and the period would end 2-1.
With time running down, the FireAntz pulled Kevin Murdock from the net for the extra attacker. Phil Tesoriero would launch the puck the length of the ice and into the net with one minute left to seal the deal. The Ice Flyers would win with a final score of 3-1.
With the win, Pensacola now holds a record of 23-13-6 for 52 points and remain tied with Columbus for third.
