Ice Dogs Name Tony Soares President

LONG BEACH, Calif. – May 6, 2003 – Long Beach Ice Dogs Co-Owner and Managing Partner Rick Adams announced today that Tony Soares has been named the club's president, effective May 12. Soares will oversee all aspects of team operations as well as the Ice Dogs' transition to the new East Coast Hockey League for the 2003-04 season.

"Tony is the perfect choice to lead the Ice Dogs in this exciting new era in as we move in to the East Coast Hockey League," said Adams. "The entire organization is looking forward to opening night next season."

Soares served as the team's director of corporate sales for the past two seasons, revitalizing the club's corporate sponsorship efforts with a 10 percent increase in corporate sales revenue during the 2002-03 season.

Prior to joining the Ice Dogs in May 2000, Soares practiced law for nine years in Orange County, Calif. and Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Soares attended the University of Alberta and the University of Windsor earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986 and his law degree in 1989.

Tony and his wife, Lisa, reside in Aliso Viejo, Calif.
