LAST GAME - 5-2 WIN IN LETHBRIDGE: It didn't take long for the ICE to strike as Mikey Milne capitalized on a Hurricanes turnover just 3:01 into the first for his 9th goal of the season. Ty Nash tied things up just about seven minutes into the game with his 5th of the season. Isaac Johnson scored his 22nd of the year on the power play to give the ICE a 2-1 lead with just over five minutes to go in the first period. Krebs and Barteaux picked up the assists on the play. The Hurricanes would once again even it up and the teams would go into the locker rooms tied at two.
Owen Pederson got rewarded for a lengthy battle in front of the Hurricanes net as he deflected a Nolan Orzeck shot in and the ICE retook a one goal lead. After another net front scramble, Jakin Smallwood found the back of the net and the ICE were up 4-2 just passed the midway point of the game.
Nino Kinder put in his 10th of the season early in the third and gave the ICE a three goal cushion to work with. Liam Hughes was outstanding and made 37 stops on 39 shots. The win improves the ICE record to 33-20-1-0 on the season.
