ICE Bounce Back to Beat Broncos 4-0

It was a third game in 5 days for the ICE as the Swift Current Broncos came to Winnipeg on a two-game losing streak. After losing to Lethbridge on Friday night by a score of 8-2, the ICE bounced back to beat the Broncos 4-0.

Nolan Orzeck opened the scoring in the first period at 07:05, just 9 seconds after the ICE's Chase Hartje stepped out of the penalty box for roughing.

Dean McNabb got the start for the ICE and was perfect when tested, stopping 21 saves for the shutout.

"It was nice to get back in net"said ICE goalie Dean McNabb who recorded his second career shutout in his second career home start. "The guys made it really easy for me to calm down in there and honestly, I saw everything tonight. The guys did a great job of boxing out".

The ICE put two more goals past Broncos' goalie Isaac Poulter in the second period, with Nino Kinder and Jackson Leppard scoring in the frame.

Michael Milne got the fourth goal for the ICE late in the third period to put the emphasis on a decisive win.

The ICE will be back in action on Wednesday, November 6th when the Red Deer Rebels are in town. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m. at Wayne Fleming Arena.
