Knoxville Ice Bears News Release

The Knoxville Ice Bears are happy to announce the signing of Forward Matt Tremblay for the 2006-2007 season.

Tremblay is a pure goal scorer, excellent center man, who can play with both grit and finesse. The 23 year old Canadian is 5'11 and weighs 190 pounds. Last season he scored 43 goals, had 38 assists and 86 points in 23 games for the GIJS Grizzlies in the Dutch Hockey League.

According to Coach Jim Bermingham, "Matt is a player who has put up big numbers in JR, and in Europe. I am hoping Matt can step in and help us offensively. I will be able to get a long look at him with a 10 day training camp and hopefully 2 preseason games. I plan on Matt challenging some of last years players for their spot on the roster."
