
Ice Bears set to open camp Tuesday October 17th

Hockeytime in Tennessee has officially arrived! The defense of both SPHL Championship Cups begins Tuesday when up to 30 hopefuls come to the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in hopes to make the squad of 18 to earn the right to be called Ice Bears.
Coach Bermingham has assembled quite an impressive group of players to continue the tradition of success here in Knoxville. Among the group, there are three goalies, twelve forwards, and nine defenseman.(subject to change) The players will have a pre-camp meeting tonight, before beginning the exhaustive two a day sessions beginning at 10am Tuesday October 17th at the Civic Coliseum. The afternoon sessions will begin daily at 4pm. Both sessions will be the same time each day and last abut two hours. They will also be open to the public.
On Friday October 20th, the Ice Bears will face the rival Huntsville Havoc in an exhibition game sponsored by Hall's Salvage beginning at 7:30 pm at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. Great seats are still available and every seat in the house is only $7! Bring a friend and come support your 2006-2007 defending SPHL Champion Knoxville Ice Bears! The Ice Bears will then take to the road on Sunday October 22nd to once again take on the Huntsville Havoc in exhibition play. Game time in Huntsville is 3pm EST and ticket information can be obtained there by calling the Huntsville Havoc office at (256)518-6160.
