
Ice Bears Live Broadcast on Comcast Postponed

KNOXVILLE, TN (January 12, 2012) - The three time SPHL champion Knoxville Ice Bears have created a strong partnership with Comcast for the 2011-12 season. Through this partnership, the two organizations have worked diligently to prepare the SPHL's only live broadcast of games. Unforeseen developments over the past 24 hours have forced a postponement of the live broadcasts for games on January 13 and January 14 with a new date that has yet to be set.
Comcast, the exclusive telecommunications provider of the Knoxville Ice Bears, has provided unparalleled support and diligence in pushing the programing though their network to execute a first class broadcast for Knoxville Ice Bears fans. Their ability to create a custom infrastructure to provide exclusive programming for all customers showcases their commitment to the Knoxville community.
Though the date for live broadcast has been postponed, Knoxville Ice Bears games will be available exclusively through the Comcast On Demand Network.
Knoxville Ice Bears are home for two games this weekend as part of Legend's Weekend. Friday, January 13th, Knoxville will host the Louisiana Ice Gators - puck drops at 7:30 pm. Saturday, January 14th, the Knoxville Ice Bears will open the doors at 5:00 pm for the annual Legends Game. Past Knoxville Ice Bears stars will showcase their talents in an exhibition game from 5:15 to 6:30 pm. Your Ice Bears ticket will give you access to both game.
