RiverKings & Landers Center Add Two More Skating Dates

SOUTHAVEN-The RiverKings are happy to announce that two dates have been added to the Post-Game Skate activity schedule: Friday, Jan. 28 and Friday, Feb. 10. "We host this activity for many reasons," RiverKings General Manager Ab Mattice said. "We've asked our players to skate with the fans during several of these nights, which gives our fans a unique chance to get up close and personal with the players, to meet them and talk with them. It helps promote hockey, especially kids playing hockey. It promotes physical fitness, which is part of our mission in the community. And it's also a lot of fun." Fans can feel good that their money is also helping a local cause, as a portion of the night's profits are donated to the organization manning the table. The 2011-12 season post-game skate beneficiary is the North Mississippi Monarchs high school hockey team. The cost to participate in a RiverKings post-game skate is $5 if you are using your own skates, and $7 if you need to rent skates .

TWO PARENTS or LEGAL GUARDIANS must sign a release waiver for each participant under 18 who wishes to skate. If the participant will not be attending the game with his or her legal guardians, the waiver may be filled out in advance. Click here for the waiver .

PLEASE BE AWARE, only a limited number of skates are available for rental and are available only on a first-come, first-served basis. The skate sign-up table is located on the concourse near section 121 and is open the hour before game-time and during the 1st and 2nd intermissions .
