Knoxville Ice Bears News Release
The Knoxville Ice Bears were crowned the 2005-06 SPHL CHAMPIONS and awarded the PRESIDENT'S CUP by defeating the Florida Seals in Kissimmee Florida in game 4 of the Championship Series and winning the best of five series 3-1.
The championship is the first in Knoxville professional hockey history and the first time in SPHL history that any team has won both the regular season and post season championships respectively.
The entire Ice Bears organization would like to thank all the fans, corporate sponsors, and media that have made this year such a successful one. We hope the support will continue in 2006/07 as the Ice Bears prepare to defend both SPHL Championship Cups!
