The Winnipeg ICE have assigned goaltender Dawson Cowan to the Winnipeg Blues of the MJHL. The Winnipeg Blues are currently ranked as the #1 team in the CJHL.

The 16 year old appeared in one WHL preseason game September 10th in Regina making 29 of 34 saves in a 5-4 loss to the Pats.

The Warren, Manitoba product played two games last season for the Interlake Lightning in the Manitoba Under 18 AAA Hockey League posting a 2-0 record, 2.09 goals against average and .948 save percentage.

The ICE return to action Saturday night, 7:00 at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena vs the Prince Albert Raiders.
