Hutchinson Goes to Nashville

Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Andrew Hutchinson from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Hutchinson, 23 (3/24/80), is tied for the lead among Milwaukee defensemen with 11 points (5g-6a-11pts) in 18 games this season. The 6-2, 204-pound Evanston, Ill. native is also tied for second on the Admirals with a +10 rating.

Originally selected by Nashville in the second round (54th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Hutchinson made his NHL debut with Nashvilleon October 18, 2003 vs. Columbus. The former Michigan State Spartan appeared in two games with the Predators during his one previous recall (October 18-22) this season.

The Admirals have also recalled forwards Raitis Ivanans from the Rockford Ice Hogs and Landon Bathe from the Toledo Storm. Bathe, 21, had one assist and 31 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Storm. The 5'11", 200-pound Scarborough, Maine native has played five games with the Admirals this season, racking up 15 penalty minutes. Ivanans, played just one game for Rockford. The 6'3", 225-pound native of Riga, Latvia is +3 with 29 penalty minutes in 11 games with the Admirals this year.

Milwaukee will take on the San Antonio Rampage tonight at 7 pm at the Bradley Center, then have Friday off before hosting the Grand Rapids Griffins Dec. 13 at 7 pm.
