
Hurricanes Strike Lighting with Fourth-Quarter Comeback Win

HALIFAX, N.S. - The Halifax Hurricanes used a 30-point fourth quarter to get the better of their championship rivals the London Lightning with a 103-101 win at Scotiabank Centre.
The Hurricanes trailed for most of the game until they were able to secure a lead in the fourth and ride it to the buzzer.
London had the Edge over the Hurricanes early with hot three-point shooting and a fast pace. London shot around 50 per cent from beyond the arc for much of the first half, before cooling to 45.8% for the whole came.
The Hurricanes were able to keep it close by capitalizing on Lightning mistakes, scoring 19 points off turnovers in the contest with 10 steals.
Mike Poole's all-around game led the Hurricanes with eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks, two steals and a game-high 26 points.
Off the bench, Malcolm Duvivier scored 19 points on a super-efficient 50 per cent shooting, including hitting four of eight from beyond the arc.
Rhamel Brown anchored the Hurricanes defence down low with two block and a game-high 13 rebounds to go with four assists and 17 points.
Guard Terry Thomas also poured in 17 of his own.
Garret Williamson led the Lightning with a 24 points.
The Hurricanes have the week off and will travel to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on Saturday, Feb. 9 to face the Island Storm. Catch that game live on NBLCLive.ca!
