
Edge Sign Olu Ashaolu for the 2018-19 Season

St. John's, NL - The St. John's Edge announced today that the team has signed Toronto, Ontario native Olu Ashaolu for the 2018-19 season.
Ashaolu, 6'6" 220lbs, played collegiately for three years at Louisiana Tech University, then in his senior season the Canadian forward transferred to the University of Oregon. Upon graduating from Oregon in 2012 Ashaolu pursued a professional career overseas, starting in Spain's LEB Gold League. Most recently, Ashaolu played for the NLEX Road Warriors in the Philippines. In just a handful of games, he averaged 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 37 minutes. He shot 53.8% from the field (42-for-78) and 60.8% from the charity stripe (23-for-38).
Ashaolu has 9 years of experience with Canadian National Team, with the majority of that time spent in the Junior National Team program.
The St. John's Edge would like to welcome Olu Ashaolu to the organization. We look forward to seeing Ashaolu suiting up on the current Edge road trip.
