Sioux Falls Canaries News Release

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Canaries have canceled Friday's scheduled exhibition game in Huron due to weather.

"It is unfortunate that we are unable to bring professional baseball to Huron this spring," said Canaries General Manager Matt Hansen. "We are very disappointed to be canceling this game."

The Canaries were scheduled to play the Northern League's Kansas City T-Bones for the first time since June 23, 2005, but due to the weather cancellation, the game will not happen.

The Birds continue their exhibition season with a game against the Sioux City Explorers in Crofton, NE at 2:05 p.m. on Saturday. The Canaries final exhibition game of the pre-season will take place on Monday at 5:55 p.m. when they celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a game against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at the Birdcage.
