Huntsville Takes Three Over Holidays

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc celebrated the holidays by going 3-0 with road wins over Columbus and Pensacola and an impressive home win over Fayetteville.

Tuesday, December 22 - Huntsville 4, Columbus 2

COLUMBUS, GA - B.J. Radovich scored two third period goals lifting the Huntsville Havoc to a 4-2 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths Tuesday night.

Chris Myers gave the Havoc a 1-0 lead with a powerplay goal in the first period. Sam Bowles would score a second period goal for Columbus and the game was tied 1-1 at the end of two periods.

Dennis Sicard also scored a third period goal for Huntsville. Jesse Cole added a late third period goal for Columbus.

Dan McWhinney made 39 saves in the win while Ian Vigier made 33 in the loss.

Saturday, December 26 - Huntsville 6, Pensacola 3

PENSACOLA, FL - Mike MacDonald and Chris Myers scored two goals and recorded one assist each as the Huntsville Havoc cruised past the Pensacola Ice Flyers 6-3 Saturday night.

Dennis Sicard and B.J. Radovich both added a goal and an assist in the win. Jeff White and Justin Rohr each had two assists each while Bill McCreary had one.

Matt Whitehead scored two goals for the Ice Flyers while Lorne Misita added one.

The Havoc trailed 1-0 after the first period before scoring three goals each in the second and the third periods.

Dan McWhinney made 32 saves in the win while Ryan Scott made 36 in the loss.

Monday, December 28 - Fayetteville 3, Huntsville 6

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Dennis Sicard scored two goals and recorded two assists as the the Huntsville Havoc took the battle of the top two teams in the SPHL with a 6-3 win over the Fayetteville FireAntz in front of 4,637 fans.

Adam Lukacovic and Jason Hill both added a goal and an assist while B.J. Radovich and Mike MacDonald also found the back of the net for Huntsville. Chris Myers and Nick Monroe both recorded two assists each.

Brett McConnachie, Emery Olauson and Rob Sich all scored goals for the FireAntz.

Dan McWhinney held the top scoring offense in the SPHL to three goals and made 29 saves in the win. Guy St. Vincent allowed all six goals and made 38 saves in the loss.
