HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Mike O'Sullivan recorded his first career hat-trick as the Huntsville Havoc hammered the Richmond Renegades 6-1 Friday night.
Huntsville had a 3-0 lead on second period goals by Tim Hockley, Kelly Miller and O'Sullivan.
Richmond erased the shutout on a shorthanded goal by Donald Melnyk with 14:04 left in the third.
O'Sullivan then scored consecutive goals with 8:37 and 5:30 left in the third. Travis Kauffeldt added a power play goal with :03 left in the game.
Huntsville outshot Richmond 41-30 as Matt Carmichael made 29 saves. Jay Chrapala took the loss.
