Huntsville City FC Earns League Awards Following Win against St. Louis City2

Huntsville, Ala. - Today, MLS NEXT Pro announced the awards for Matchday 12, with two Huntsville City FC players receiving recognition as Midfielder Kemy Amiche was named MLS NEXT Pro Player of Matchday 12, and midfielder Jony Bolaños was nominated for MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchday 12.

Amiche made a major impact off the bench as a substitute for the injured Ollie Wright on June 11 against St. Louis CITY2. Amiche tallied two goals and an assist to help lead Huntsville to victory. The French midfielder is tied for the team lead in goals with Azaad Liadi with four. Footage from Amiche and Head Coach Jack Collison's postmatch reactions can be found here.

Bolaños made both team and MLS NEXT Pro history scoring the fastest goal within nine seconds of play. The goal is tied for the fastest goal in MLS NEXT Pro history with 2022 Columbus Crew 2's Marco Micaletto. You can vote for Bolaños' goal to win the award on Twitter here through Tuesday.

Huntsville City FC will return to action on Thursday, June 15 against Toronto FC II at 6 p.m. CT. Fans can watch the match on the MLS Season Pass on the AppleTV app. Alternative, Huntsvillians can gather at the official watch party at Wahlburger's.
