The Alpine Cowboys hammered the San Rafael Pacifics 24-4 to take Game 1 Saturday Night in Alpine in front of 698 fans in Kokernot Field.

AJ Folds scored 5 runs to lead the Cowboys. Josh Rego went 3-5 with 3 runs with RBIs.Kyle Rodriguez went 3 for 6 with 3 rbis. The Pacifics gave themselves little chance by walking 10 Alpine Cowboy Batters and making 3 errors.

Humberto Vela picked up the win for the Cowboys throwing 6.2 innings allowing 4 runs while facing 31 batters. Jonathan Fleckenstein pitched 1.1 innings and faced 6 batters. Don Spinoso pitched a scoreless 9th.

Owen Cuffe started on the mound for the Pacifics. He lasted 1-1/3 innings faced 16 batters and allowed 9 runs.Cuffe walked 4 batters and allowed 8 hits. Jason Summers was next in line for the Pacifics he lasted 2/3's of an inning facing 10 batters.He walked 4 and allowed 3 hits.Kohto Hasegawa pitched 6 innings allowing 8 runs, and allowing 8 hits.Esai Santos went 2-5 for the Pacifics. Alex Valasak will start on Sunday Night for the Pacifics. Kasey Cheek will start for the Cowboys.

Humberto Vela was the winning pitcher throwing 6 innings with 4 strikeouts while allowing 8 hits.

Owen Cuffe got the loss for the San Rafael Pacifics.

For the Alpine Cowboys, Johnny Medina lead the way at the plate going 0-1.

Kyle Rodriguez also helped the ballclub at the plate going 0-2.
