Palm Beach Cardinals News Release
Palm Beach clenches the four game sweep over the visiting Daytona Cubs tonight by the score of 7-4. Brian Broderick collects his fifth win of the season, going six innings allowing one earned run. Broderick is the first Cardinal to five wins this season.
The Cards brought the big stick tonight. Including, Chris Swauger who hit a no doubt homerun off Craig Muschko in the sixth inning. Shane Peterson had another multiple hit night, going 2-4. Peterson raised his average to .316 on the season, which also consists of 28 RBI and 21 runs scored.
The Cardinals take on the Lakeland Flying Tigers tomorrow at 6:05 PM. Do not forget about Dog Days of Summer tomorrow. After a rainy night on the 23rd, our monthly tribute to "Man's Best Friend" is back. All dogs are admitted with the $5 purchase of a "Pooch Pass" (includes admission to all 5 Dog Days of Summer promotions). All proceeds from the "Pooch Pass" will benefit the Friends of Jupiter Beach, Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, and other dog friendly organizations.
