Twin City Thunderbirds News Release
Winston-Salem, NC - In perhaps one of the shortest tenures in FHL history the Carolina Thunderbirds are announcing the loan move of forward Bryan Hovanec to the Quad City Storm of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
Hovanec played in one game for the Thunderbirds, registering an assist on Sunday February 24 against the Elmira Enforcers. It was his professional debut after playing with Lebanon Valley College for four years.
Hovanec joins a Storm squad that is on the outside looking in on the SPHL playoffs right now. Quad City sits 12 points out of 8th place which is currently held by Pensacola. The Storm are in the middle of a three game weekend hosting Roanoke for two before travelling to the league leaders Peoria on Sunday afternoon.
