Houston Dynamo FC Trade Chase Gasper to Chicago Fire FC

HOUSTON - Houston Dynamo FC acquired a third-round pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft from Chicago Fire FC in exchange for defender Chase Gasper, both teams announced today.

Gasper appeared in five games for the Dynamo during the 2023 MLS regular season. The 28-year-old was acquired off waivers on April 16, 2023. Gasper made his MLS debut with Minnesota United FC in June 2019 and was selected by the Loons with the 15th overall pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. In addition to the Dynamo and Minnesota, the defender featured for the LA Galaxy during the 2022 season.

TRANSACTION: Houston Dynamo FC trade defender Chase Gasper to Chicago Fire FC in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft.
