
Houston Dynamo Announce 2016 Preseason Schedule

HOUSTON (Monday, Jan. 11, 2016) - The Houston Dynamo announced their 2016 preseason schedule today, with training sessions beginning on Monday, Jan. 25. Like past seasons, the Dynamo will spend a portion of preseason in Tucson, Arizona as well as Houston.
The schedule is tentative and subject to change. Key preseason dates include:
- Monday, Jan. 25 - First day of preseason, Houston Sports Park
- Monday, Feb. 1 - Final practice before departing for Tucson, Houston Sports Park
- Thursday, Feb. 11 - First practice back in Houston after Tucson trip, Houston Sports Park
- Saturday, Feb. 13 - Scrimmage versus Houston Baptist University, Houston Sports Park
- Wednesday, Feb. 17 - Scrimmage versus Rayo OKC, Houston Sports Park
- Tuesday, March 1 - First practice back in Houston after Tucson trip and beginning of final week of prep for season opener, Houston Sports Park
The Dynamo preseason will include two camps in Tucson, Arizona. For the fourth consecutive year the Dynamo will participate in the Desert Friendlies in Tucson from February 3-9. The first Arizona trip will include games against the Portland Timbers, San Jose Earthquakes and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. All matches will be played at the Kino Sports Complex.
The Dynamo will return to Houston for a week of training at Houston Sports Park and will host Houston Baptist University in a scrimmage on Saturday, Feb. 13 and Rayo OKC of the NASL on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
The club returns to Tucson on Feb. 18 and will play three games in the Desert Diamond Cup, the club's first entry in the annual preseason tournament. Houston will face the Colorado Rapids and New England Revolution before a final opponent which will be determined based on results in the first two games of the competition.
The Dynamo will return to Houston on Sunday, Feb. 28 to prepare for the 2016 season opener, March 6 versus the New England Revolution at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Partial season ticket plans, along with single-game tickets for the remainder of the season, will go on sale in the coming weeks.
