Houston Dash News Release
HOUSTON - Following this afternoon's announcement by the National Women's Soccer League that all preseason matches would be cancelled, the Houston Dash have adjusted their preseason schedule.
Scheduled scrimmages with the University of Texas on March 14, the Dynamo Academy on March 25, Texas Tech on March 28 and Southern Methodist on April 5 have been cancelled. The team will continue prepare for the 2020 NWSL season that starts in late April.
The Dash, along with the Houston Dynamo, have remained in daily communication with the leadership of both leagues as well as with local and regional health authorities and government officials.
Throughout this process, our Club's primary focus has been on the health and wellbeing of our fans, players, staff and community. With that in mind, we support the League's decision, and the Dash and Dynamo will continue to work with the League and with City and County officials regarding next steps.
