Houston Dash News Release
HOUSTON - The Houston Dash have announced that GK Bianca Henninger (Melbourne Victory - Australia), GK Lydia Williams (Melbourne City FC - Australia) and D Stephanie Ochs (Canberra United - Australia) will go on loan during the NWSL offseason.
"Steph is very familiar with Canberra United and the W-League, she has had great success there in the past," head coach Randy Waldrum said. "We have two very good goalkeepers and the W-League will offer them great competition this season."
Henninger started five games for the Dash this season and finished with one shutout and 1.14 goals against average. In three seasons for the club the goalkeeper has played in 17 games and tallied five shutouts with a 1.15 goals against average.
Ochs appeared in 12 games for the club in 2016 and matched her career-high for assists with two. The defender missed most of last season with a torn ACL in her right knee.
Williams started 15 games for the club and finished tied for the second most saves in the league with 62. The goalkeeper also led NWSL goalkeepers at the Olympic Games in Rio with 18 saves.
Westfield W-League matches will air on ESPN3 in the United States. All three players will return to the Dash prior to the start of the 2017 NWSL season.
